History of Mammography[edit | edit source]

Mammography is a division of Radiology which deals with detecting, and diagnosing diseases of the breast, specifically breast cancer. The genesis of radiology began with the discovery of x-rays byWilhelm Röntgen. Röntgen produced the first x-ray platein 1895. Diagnostic Radiology thus had its birth, from whence mammography developed.
