- Estimated Expenses:
- Venue/Rent:
- NEM will be hosting; thus, no expenses will be required for renting a room for MakerFaire
- Just in case, if they do charge for MakerFaire, it costs:
- Pioneering Hall: (Food is allowed in this facility but not in the exhibits) $ 750 for renting the facility on Saturday or Sunday from 8 AM to 10 PM
- $100 for reserving spot (Must be 30 days prior to the date of reservation)
- 3 weeks advanced tourism of the facility is strongly suggested

- City or County Fees and Permits:
- The cite is located at the Anne Arundel County.
- However, no permits or fees will need to be paid:
- fire alarms, electricity, and even building itself are already constructed and nothing needs to be removed
- Insurance:
- NEM has its insurance already covered. No extra bill will be needed.
- Labor:
- Recruit non-paid volunteers to set up and clean the site:
- One set-up volunteer + One another for cleaning at the end per one Maker
- Total of 8 to 10 volunteers recommended
- 4~5 volunteers for set-up and 4~5 volunteers for Cleaning
- It's possible for set-up volunteer to stay for entire duration of the MakerFaire to help out cleaning team
- Set up time: 8:00 AM (Tables, projects, and preparation, including meals)
- All activities will be held indoors; thus, meats will be pre-cooked)
- Cleaning Time: 9:00 PM (Cleaning all the trashes and leftover foods)
- The NEM do charge $100 per hour for exceeding the rental time. Thus, it is best to clean up an hour earlier than 10:00 pm.
- Rental Equipment:
- 10 Rectangular Tables (1 per each Maker): Fees included with the rental of the facility (Not required to pay if NEM is hosting)
- 20 chairs (2 per each table): Fees included with the rental of the facility (Not required to pay if NEM is hosting)
- Expense Reimbursements:
- Not required; All physical laborers and cleaners are non-paid volunteers
- They are not required to bring any materials or tools
- Advertisements & Promotions:
- HCC arts or others interested in this field will design and create advertisement posters
- Promotion for the MakerFaire: Young adult middle school and high school students around NEM
- Under each school's permission, there will be an advertising posters at selected sites
- There is an 'Event' category in NEM webpage where summary of the event and advertisements can be established
- MakerFaire License Fee:
- .50 cents per attendee
- This MakerFaire will have ticketed/paid admissions
- At its best case scenario:
- 10 Makers + 20 Volunteers + 250 Attendees = $140
- Wordpress Registration and Custom Design Fees ($47):
- Not required; the location is locally advertised and there is a separate internet advertisement page for NEM
- MakerFaire Font - Benton Sans Bold ($40):
- Not required; instead of using this, Microsoft Words will be used
- MakerFaire Pennant Flags - 120' for approx. $14 each:
- 10 Flags (1 per each Maker): $140
- Other:
- Foods: $ 315
- 150 Hot dogs w/ buns + 10 Large bags of Chips + 100 Hamburgers (Lettuce + Tomato + Buns + Ketchup + Mustard + Onions)
