Description
English: The entire stomatal complex, comprising the paired guard cells and the pore itself, termed the stomatal aperture. Air, containing oxygen for respiration and carbon dioxide for photosynthesis, traverses the stomata through gaseous diffusion. Additionally, water vapor diffuses through the stomata into the atmosphere as part of the transpiration process.
