A bentonite/volcanic tuff bed in the Heatherdale Shale dates to 522 million years ago. Small spots and weathered-out spots in this material are phosphatic nodules.

Locality: roadcut along the southeastern side of Main South Road, ~1.3 kilometers southwest of the Victory Motel at Sellicks Hill, Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia (35° 20' 17.06" South latitude, 138° 27' 54.52" East longitude)
