Bridges should be made by every engineer. There is a design competition that anyone can enter. Most model difficult bridges are made out of spaghetti. One contest pays up to $1500 to the winners.

This video comes hints how they made their bridge. It weighed around 2 pounds and held almost 1000 pounds attached to the center of the 1 meter span.
