Author biography[edit | edit source]
Paul had a dramatic conversion to Christianity after persecuting and executing Christians for a long time. His life thereafter was dedicated to spreading the news of the Gospel, for which he was persecuted and eventually executed, himself. He wrote many letters to churches and several of those letters are books of the Bible.
Author's circumstances[edit | edit source]
Paul was imprisoned once again by Emperor Nero and wrote his letters to Timothy shortly before his death. This was essentially his last will and testament before his earthly life ended. (https://bible.org/seriespage/16-2-timothy-introduction-argument-and-outline)
