Theory of impeller machines

Impeller machines - machines intended for labour admission and taking off. For that purpose shaped surfaces are used they called blades. Machine in which labour is admissed called compressor. Machine in which labour is taken off called turbine.

First task of theory of impeller machines is to determine geometry of air-gas channel when boundary and entry conditions and requred characteristics are known.

Another task is to get characteristics when geometry and boundary and entry conditions are known.
