System development/Modelling/Types/Semantic model/What is a semantic model?

From Wikiversity

A semantic model consists of concepts and the relations between the concepts.

[edit | edit source]

In the semantic model below you see three concepts: Book, Author and Publisher. To capture the semantics we also give the relation between the concept a name.

In the model below you see atoms of each concept (source: Wikipedia: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone).
