Problem Statement[edit | edit source]

To find strategies for the game poppit that can be implemented by a program to leave as few balloons as possible.

Team Members[edit | edit source]

Put each team members name here with links to their personal page here. Real names do not have to be used.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Team members repeatedly played poppit while recording potential chunking strategies as well as the number of balloons remaining after each trial.

Story[edit | edit source]

The team each collected information regarding the remaining number of balloons and chunking strategies. During each class period, each of the three team members shared whatever successes they had with each other and proceeded to update and revise their chunking strategies. The team members' final scores and chunking ideas are recorded in their engineering notebooks and individual wikiversity pages.

Decision List[edit | edit source]

The team decided to individually try their own chunking strategies and inform each other of what they found each week instead of reporting the strategies of only one member of the team.

Material List[edit | edit source]

Computer, Google Chrome, Poppit, engineering notebook, pen.

Software List[edit | edit source]

Google Chrome and Poppit.

Time[edit | edit source]

We spent approximately 8 hours on this project.

Tutorials[edit | edit source]

Play poppit and make note of strategies that work as well as the number of balloons remaining. If you are on a team, share ideas with each other to better refine your chunking ideas.

Next Steps[edit | edit source]

Work with the programming team to develop the poppit program, giving them the data collected and chunking ideas.
