In de figuur is het spectrum voor zichtbaar licht weergegeven in het golflengte gebied van 400 tot 700nm. Daarop volgt een gebied van 10+6nm (1mm) tot 1cm dat al voorbij het infra-rood gebied ligt. Het infra-rood gebied strekt zich uit van ca. 780nm tot 1mm. dat is veel breder dan dat van het zichbare licht. Gebaseerd op deze getallen is de verhouding golflengte bereik zichtbaar licht : infrarood golflengte bereik = 1 : 3330, namelijk (700 - 400) : (1.000.000 -780) = 300 : 999.220.

Mijn schatting! is dat de golflengte 780nm hoort bij een temperatuur van 750K, en het infra-roodgebied eindigt bij 0K, bij 1mm. Gemiddeld is dit een golflengte breedte gebied van 999.220/750 = 1332nm per K.

Onder de aanname! dat de verdeling van de temperatuur over het gebied van 999.220nm van 0K - 750K gelijkmatig is kan worden vastgesteld welke golflengte hoort bij een oppervlakte temperatuur van 25gr.C van een object.Dat zal ca. 1.000.000 - (273+25)*1332 = 603.000nm zijn.

De in ms word bewerkte figuur waarin het bovenstaande is verwerkt kan ik naar hier kopiëren.
