John Lasseter (Born January 12, 1957), is an animator who is known for his work in Pixar Animation Studios. After getting fired from Disney for promoting 3D animation he went on to work for Lucasfilmltd. Lasseter directed certain movies like Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2 (1999), Toy Story 3 (2010), A Bug's Life (1998), Cars (2006), Cars 2 (2011), and many more.

In John's early life he was always interested in art. He had a supportive mother that was an art teacher and encourage John to better his artistic skills.
John was not the only child, for he also had a twin sister named Johanna Lasseter-Curtis.
John grew up in Whittier, California [1]

Before he went on to work for major company's and starting his work professionally he had to practice his craft and receive a higher education. He first started his education at Pepperdine University where his mother and siblings went, but due to his goals and where he wanted to go in his career he decided to attend a different school. John went on to continue his education at California Institute of the Arts to pursue his dreams as an animator. [2]

In Lasseter's career as an animator he started his work at Disney Animation Studios where he drew and animated for Disney. Lasseter then went on to work for LucasfilmLTD. after getting fired for his interests in computer generated graphics that were fairly new at the time. [3]
