There are many challenges to using technology. Major ones are

1. Industry hype. We do it because we are told to.

2. Usefulness. We need to continually ask : Does it make a unique contribution.

3. Cost. Is it cost effective.

4. Availability and affordability of new technology and the so called digital divide.
