Aliens is about a terraforming project and it is (in a way) "hard" science fiction but it isn't hard science fiction. That is probably because hard science fiction wouldn't fill cinemas but there may also be more subtle reasons (it is - from an educational perspective - the least useful form of science fiction, unless the Children's TV Lexicon counts as proper education). --fasten 23:51, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
