My Opinion on death in this story Professor Cross asked the class this week to talk about death with these stories. Two important things that caught my eye was death valley and the red bird. I view the death valley almost as the spot where the wait to be placed. I think this because they were all just dancing in a circle waiting for someone to touch them seven times. The red bird in my eyes was an after life. Reading this story makes me believe that the Cherokee tribe believed in afterlife. Both of these things seem important to the living, therefore I think that the Cherokees deeply believed in purpose even after death. Even though this story revolves around the sun and the moon having feelings I still believe it is a great representation of what the Cherokee tribe believed and practiced.--Samkershner (discusscontribs) 23:20, 4 September 2020 (UTC) Samantha Kershner 9/4/2020Reply
