Rainwater Volume Calculations

Hi, I'm thinking about the various calculators that exist out there to size a rainwater tank or cistern. I think what would be especially valuable (beyond links to apps that at least for the time, continue to work) is to include the baseline equations and coefficients used in the equation in order to give the people the power to understand the math and to perhaps improve upon the equation themselves. @Ivangiesen: Sure, whatever improves the learning environment for others. My guideline on this would be impact. @Dave Braunschweig: Okay! Great, I'm actually working on models in simulink and also with a grad student who's making a calculator for tank sizing, so maybe I could get some equations from him.
