Mathbot[edit source]

Mathbot, operated by Oleg Alexandrov at Wikipedia has, among many other things, been instrumental as a tool for cataloging and processing Wikipedia 1.0 assessments. "Mathbot is a collection of scripts written in Perl". It uses Perl's WWW::Mediawiki::Client package from CPAN to download text from Wikipedia and upload processed text back. I think this is a good hands-on pilot study for the Wikiversity Bots program in conjunction with the MediaWiki Project. CQ 19:52, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Linky[edit source]

Linky is an IRC bot that sits in IRC channels and is generally used to translate wikilinks ( [[links in square brackets]] ) to full urls, (http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Some_link) and other basic tasks. See User:Sebmol/wikiversilinky for more details. CQ 20:08, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
