Abstract

Abstract Based on a partnership between a librarian and a professor from the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo (Brazil), this article aims to present the potential of partnerships between university librarians and professors to carry out educational actions with Wikimedia projects, alongside higher education students. The presentation will address a Wikipedia education initiative conducted from 2021 to 2024. Based on a partnership between a librarian and a professor from the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo (Brazil), the action was aimed at undergraduate students of the Research Procedures in Educommunication discipline. It revealed the potential of collaborative work between professors and librarians, highlighting the relevance of the librarian's role as the professional who establishes the interface between students and professors with Wikimedia projects. The intention is to highlight the main tasks and Wikimedia resources employed by the librarian for activity management; the approach to the open knowledge theme; and the activities under the professor's responsibility.
