Re: unspoken set of rules
I remember when I started editing the first pages on the group I had later a bad conscience and asked James about this. I think the "unspoken set of rules" also depend on your experiences (e.g. a small kid does not know some behaviour rules yet or normally I have not bad thoughts when being "intrusive" (not in the bad way, e.g. see Did you ever edit another user page than "yours" ?).) and the persons you are communicating with. One does not all treat same unfortunately.
>So I guess in essence it’s like the saying goes, treat others as you yourself would like to be treated.
yes, "Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself" (w:Confucius)
now kidding: e.g. What about a person who is a masochist ? -> should be then more in direction as: w:Categorical imperative
If you or others ever come in a situation where you think a user behaved bad, please tell, e.g. at Wikiversity:Colloquium or Wikiversity:Request custodian action

E-portfolio Feedback for Melissadedrick
Thanks for participating in the social psychology unit. I have read your e-portfolio and have provided some feedback below. The marks will put be posted on WebCT 24 or 25 November. I will email the discussion list when they are available. Feel free to let me know if you have any comments, concerns, questions. I also welcome your feedback here.
Good engagement across the unit; early engagement was noted, although the rest was contributed just before it being due. Good lecture/text coverage, but relatively little tutorial coverage. (CR)
Useful summaries of key concepts are provided. Perhaps some more examples or personal reflections could have added further depth. Some useful links, images, and extra ideas (e.g., around the essay) were noted.
P.S. If you are dissatisfied with the marking and feedback, please see the marking dispute process.
