Idea for project[edit]

This bell is already on commons as an svg file. You can copy, shrink, and use it in your drawing.

Wikipedia:Two_New_Sciences#Day_3_Naturally_accelerated_motion needs an image. The following are copyrighted and therefore cannot appear on Commons:

  1. http://slopeintercept.org/wp-content/uploads/galileo_inclined_plane_modelISLthumb.jpg
  2. http://dev.physicslab.org/img/4020ec64-6deb-484d-9e97-ed2e77cf92bd.gif
  3. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/2e/80/99/2e80995c1aad438be6aad6920e9db945.jpg
  4. http://www.daviddarling.info/images3/Galileo_and_the_inclined_plane.jpg

Maybe you want to learn wikipedia:Inkscape and use the bell svg file to create an image for the Wikipedia article? You would hold the copyright, and that will be forever recorded in Commons. By releasing it under Creative Commons, you can't charge people to use it, but it's something you might want to mention in a job interview. And, technically speaking everybody who uses it needs to acknowledge your username (but don't expect people to do that).--Guy vandegrift (discusscontribs) 15:34, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

Update: Hey, I just found this. Maybe you want to find another project? Perhaps ask the people at [[Wikipedia:Two_New_Sciences if they want you to place that image in their article. (They might say no--those wikipedia editors can be really wikt:persnickety.)Guy vandegrift (discusscontribs) 15:41, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
