Hi David - thanks for coming to Wikiversity - as well as being honest about your experience. I'm very much aware that wikis can be off-putting to newcomers - in fact, I imagine that addressing that question will constitute a significant part of my/our research. Actually, what you did was quite normal - I have spent my whole time learning about wikis through copying and modifying other people's work! I look forward to working with you - here and on-list. :-) Cormaggio talk 14:47, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Draft charter[edit source]

Hi David, thanks for your draft charter - I've commented on it and moved it to Talk:Action_research/AREOL25. Cheers! Cormaggio talk 23:46, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was just posting the above note at the moment you left your note on my page! That's a wonderful observation - and I fully appreciate what you're saying. I think for me the most nerve-wracking thing would be that I would somehow "break" a page - but when I realised that wasn't possible, I just went ahead and broke everything I could - though not out of any malice! I think wikis are a great example of learning through mistakes - you can just go back and edit your mistake until it's how you wanted it (which I can see you've been doing). Or, you can look through a page's history (click the "history" button to the right of the "edit" button) to see how somebody else fixed it - have you discovered that yet?
