About me:

My name is Katelyn, and I am completing my last two units in the Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Canberra. I am simultaneously completing a Bachelor of Theology at Charles Sturt University.

I have always been interested in learning about psychology, especially in the area of mental illness.

Along with my study, I work for a university during the week, and hospitality on the weekend.

I enjoy many hobbies, including hiking, guitar and playing squash.

Social contributions[edit]

- Wednesday, 4 October 2017, 12:16 PM - responded to Alysum Doak's moodle post requesting feedback for her book chapter "Parental pressure on children to perform in sport". Gave feedback on the accuracy of the research she had found by comparing to my personal experience. Provided another avenue of possible discussion - the tension of parents becoming their child's coach and how this impacts youth wellbeing - as well as an article I had found by searching the research databases.

-Sunday, 8 October 2017, 8:02 PM - read and gave feedback to Sonia Curll regarding her book chapter "Awe and well-being". I suggested using footnote referencing in tables to make it cleaner to read, and also to consider changing the heading she had ("Empirical Evidence") to something else, as she had already been discussing empirical evidence and did not need it under a specific heading. Sonia ended up taking on board both suggestions and eventually amended her chapter to reflect this.
