## Cover page

This document contains 18 exams, paired so that versions v1 and v2 contain the same questions, randomized in order of question and answer (the numerical values are also randomized). The ten questions were drawn randomly from a bank of 27 questions. The s-numbers (s1, s2, ...) represent different random selections from this larger bank. To ensure that all students in a given classroom take exams of the same difficulty, both versions (v-numbers) should have the same s-number. The table of contents can be used to find the page numbers required to print out only versions v1 and v2.

This prototype exam was oddly constructed from physics and astronomy courses because at the time of writing, only four quizzes had been placed in Wikiversity's Quizbank.

For equations pertinant to this quiz visit this Wikiversity page:

Physics_equations/Sheet/All_chapters

The questions were selected as follows:

• 4 questions (out of 6) on energy conservation from quizzes
• 2 questions (out of 4) on line integrals from
• 4 questions (out of 17) from

The latter is drawn from this permalink to a Wikipedia article on Astronomy:

Since permalinks never change, they are immune to capricious editing and vandalism. As the Quizbank grows, these exams will grow more challenging. Nevertheless, these multiple choice exams are always intended to cover the more basic aspects of learning and assessment. The intent of these exams is to free the instructor's time for higher level learning. Instructors should consider making contributions to this open source bank a part of the course content. To further enhance this open source testbank, instructors might supplement these questions from a private reserve of questions, added to these questions, that are unavailable for students to study.
