About me

Hello World. My name is Chris Koerner. (My last name is pronounced Ker-ner). I'm a Community Liaison, which to me means that I get to empower people with technology and encourage those with an inquisitive mind. I’m here to support the communities the foundation works with around Discovery. That’s the team of folks who are working on improving the discovery and access to information across the projects within the Wikimedia movement. Improving search on-wiki to show more relevant results - information from other projects - in other languages!, maps, improvements to the portal, and more.

I’m new to the foundation, but have been a MediaWikian and Wikipedian for a few years. I’m a partner to those underrepresented in our community and work to have better representation of the diverse voices in our projects.

I'm someone who tries to follow the idea of New Sincerity. In short, I'm honest with minimal irony or sarcasm.

Reach out to me however suits you best and I’ll get back to you.
