Triangle/Medians/Intersecting point/Fact/Proof2

Proof

We consider the condition

B+C2+s(A−B+C2)=A+C2+t(B−A+C2),

which yields

B−A2=t(B−A+C2)−s(A−B+C2)=(−s−t2)A+(t+s2)B+s−t2C.

We may assume E=ℝ2 and A=0. This implies, because B and C are linearly independent, the identity

s=t.

Therefore,

B−A2=(−32s)A+(32s)B,

and we obtain

s=13.

Hence, the intersecting point is

B+C2+13(A−B+C2)=13A+13B+13C.

Due to the symmetry of the situation, this is also the intersecting point with the third median.
