Let ${}A,B,C$ be a triangle in a Euclidean plane. Show that the distance between the vertex ${}C$ and the edge ${}{\overline {AB}}$ is obtained in the point ${}A$, or in the point ${}B$, or in the foot of the altitude of the altitude through ${}C$.
