I would like to know about the source of the solution provided.
Dirichlet Conditions[edit source]
It seems to me that Dirichlet conditions and Dirichlet boundary conditions are two different things. The link points to what seems to the wrong one. Am I wrong? KE7KTO (discuss • contribs) 13:38, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
- You are correct they are different, the boundary conditions are equation specific to a particular situation. These boundary conditions are specific to the example chosen. --Marshallsumter (discuss • contribs) 15:09, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
Wrong Solution[edit source]
In the case with 4 homogeneous boundary conditions it seems to me there is an error in the resolution. In step 3 the equation for the y variable (or equivalently the x one) is reported with a wrong sign and this leads to a different (but I think incorrect) solution. If a remember well one solution is a sine and the other a sinh
