Overall[edit source]

  1. Overall, this is a solid, simple chapter which overviews APSD and highlights research and theory particularly with regard to emotional symptomology and aetiology of the disorder.

Theory[edit source]

  1. Sufficent, relevant theory is covered, with reasonable breadth, critical thinking and integration (e.g., of genetic and environmental variables).

Research[edit source]

  1. Several relevant studies are cited and well discussed. There was room to expand, however, particularly around emotional aspects of APSD such as empathy e.g., neurological studies (e.g., neurotransmitter and frmi studies of high/low empathy people).
  2. When describing important research findings, the chapter does a good job of indicating the size of effects (for the prevalence rather than simply whether or not there was an effect or relationship).

Written expression[edit source]

  1. The chapter was well-written, with very good APA style.
  2. Clear focus questions were established, with appropriate introduction and summary.
  3. There was limited use of additional learning resources, but images were provided and some useful wiki-links.
  4. Basic image captions were provided.
  5. Feature boxes with DSM-IV criteria were provided.
  6. Perhaps a case study could be helpful?
  7. Not sure how this happened, but I also found and moved some earlier draft material to Motivation and emotion/Textbook/Motivation and emotion/Textbook/Emotion/Antisocial personality disorder/Draft

Overall[edit source]

Overview[edit source]

  1. This presentation provides a clear, simple narrated bullet-point style summary of the textbook chatper.
  2. The structure was clear and worked well.
  3. Clear speaking voice; well paced. Use of more tonal variation would aid viewer interest.
  4. Good focus on theory; not so much on research?
  5. Font was clear (good size, but the orange was a bit hard to read). Maybe use larger font.
  6. What is the prevalence of APSD (how important is this issue?)
  7. No images?
  8. Copyright license?
