Discussion on chapter And Feedback

[edit source]

Hi! Absolutely love the design of this chapter, the red and the hearts really design the page to feel like its all about love. Referring to Steven Universe is a great example in my opinion because the show is all about love and connection. To add your scenario sections are great because they really make the reader think "who and what is on my phone screen, and what do I love about having this picture on my phone display"

One thing to check is in the assignment list it states "Use default wiki style for paragraph alignment, font colour, type, and size, and heading styles" I don't know if that falls under bold font in your paragraphs but id check that just in case! - Paige U3262868 (discuss • contribs) 22:19, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

[edit source]

Hi, I think adding a visual of Maslow's Hierarchy of needs would be very beneficial here as it can be difficult to describe in writing. Just a simple pyramid style would be great! Something like this: https://images.ctfassets.net/pdf29us7flmy/5DmjqTuW3FuMY4Hbtm8Xj0/6e4607bb76080f18663f19ecd6adaafc/maslow-s-hierarchy-of-needs-new.png?w=1440&q=100&fm=avif E3297976 (discuss • contribs) 22:30, 27 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

The distinct nature of love vs belonging

[edit source]

Hello, excellent work I like the way you have set up your chapter. I do posit a more robust distinction and explanation or comparison between the sense of belonging one feels adjacent to the expression of love as described. Perhaps shedding light on how love is its own emotional capacity different to belonging would be interesting to divulge into. I hope my suggestion makes sense.

Heading casing

[edit source]
Hi U3280743. FYI, the recommended Wikiversity heading style uses sentence casing. For example:

Self-determination theory rather than Self-Determination Theory

Here's an example chapter with correct heading casing: Growth mindset development

Topic development feedback

[edit source]

The topic development has been reviewed according to the marking criteria. Written feedback is provided below, plus see the general feedback page. Also check the page history for changes made whilst reviewing the plan. If you don't understand the feedback or would like further information, get in touch to discuss. Marks are available via UCLearn. Marks are based on the latest version before the due date.

  1. Title and/or subtitle not correctly worded and/or didn't use sentence casing (fixed)
  1. See earlier comment about heading casing
  2. Remove numbers from headings

<-- Heading structure -->

  1. Well developed 2-level heading structure. Meaningful headings clearly relate directly to the core topic.
  2. Insufficient alignment between sub-title, focus questions, and top-level headings
  1. Make the relevance of the scenario to the topic more clear
  2. A clear description of the problem/topic is planned or presented
  3. Excellent focus questions
  4. Develop closer alignment between the focus questions and top-level headings
  1. Promising development
  2. Highlight the most relevant theories and synthesise the best research on the topic
  3. Provide more detailed edit summaries
  4. The scope is about right
  5. Strive for an integrated balance of the best psychological theory and research about this topic, with practical examples.
  6. Conclusion is underway
  7. What are the practical, take-home messages? (address the focus questions)
  1. Relevant figure(s) are presented and captioned
  2. Cite each figure at least once in the main text using APA style (e.g., see Figure 1)
  1. Add in-text interwiki links for first mention of key terms to Wikipedia and/or book chapters (see Tutorial 2)
  2. Promising use of scenarios/examples/case studies
  3. Make the scenario directly relevant to a key point about the best theory and research
  4. Consider including quiz question(s) about the take-home messages
  5. Also consider using tables to summarise key information
  1. Very good
  2. What are the most relevant systematic reviews/meta-analyses about this topic?
  3. Check and correct APA referencing style:
    1. some titles are incomplete
    2. page numbers should be separated by an en-dash (–) rather than a hyphen (-)
  1. See also
    1. Excellent
  2. External links
    1. Very good
    2. Use sentence casing
  1. Basic but effective
  2. Very brief description about self – consider expanding
  3. Consider linking to your eportfolio page and/or any other professional online profile or resume such as LinkedIn. This is not required, but it can be useful to interlink your professional networks.
  4. A link to the book chapter is provided
  1. Excellent – at least three different types of contributions with direct link(s) to evidence
