Permanent call for new CS-DC e-Departments and e-Laboratories[edit | edit source]

Permanent call for new CS-DC e-Departments[edit | edit source]

The proposal for new full e-departments should include:

  • A scientific description (with at least an English version) of the e-department challenges (an existing roadmap chapter or a new chapter, at least 4 pages) including a bibliography (at least one page), --- (9000 characters all in all).
  • A list of full and/or associate e-laboratories (at least two full).
  • A list of full and/or associate large project teams for completing research and educational resources (multi-scale, multi-modal data, research and educational platforms, computer resources) comprising at least:
    • one full project-team exactly called "Educational Resources" and
    • one full project-team exactly called "International Programme Committee" for a mandatory monthly e-seminar and for the review process of its e-track of the yearly CS-DC international e-conference. The "International Programme Committee" can also be useful for the organisation of international (e-)workshops.
  • A scientific committee with renowned scientists (at least three) who have given their opinion on the adequacy between the scientific challenges, its bibliography, its large scale project teams and resources including those of their e-laboratories.

An e-department starts as "associate" until it verifies all the above criteria. The CS-DC board and council will examine the full proposals.

Permanent call for new CS-DC e-Laboratories[edit | edit source]

The proposal for new full e-laboratories should include:

  • A scientific description (with at least an English version) of the e-laboratory challenges (at least 2 pages) including a bibliography (at least half a page) --- (4500 characters all in all).
  • A list of full and/or associate large project teams for completing research and educational resources (multi-scale, multi-modal data, research and educational platforms, computer resources) comprising at least:
    • one full project-team exactly called "Educational Resources" and
    • one full project-team exactly called "International Programme Committee" for a mandatory monthly e-seminar (possibly common with other entities) and for the review process of its e-session of the yearly CS-DC international e-conference. The "International Programme Committee" can also be useful for the organisation of international (e-)workshops.
  • A list of research and educational resources (at least one, like multi-modal multi-scale data, research and educational platforms, computer resources),
  • A scientific committee with scientists of renown (at least three) who have given their opinion on the adequacy between the scientific challenge, its bibliography, its project teams and resources including those of their project teams.

An e-laboratory starts as “associate” until it verifies the above criteria. If a full e-laboratory asks to be connected to some departments, these departments will examine the proposal. If not, the CS-DC board will examine the proposal.
