CS-DC Asia Committee

Main tasks[edit | edit source]

Main tasks of the new "Regional" CS-DC Committees in 2016 are to:

e-Team for organizing e-events in Asia[edit | edit source]

The Committee provides a diversity of opportunities to involve relevant scientific communities and scientists in (e-)events, with no cost, such as:

  • e-Seminars
  • e-Conferences
  • e-Schools

Each e-event can be recorded, thus contributing to the research & educational CS-DC resources, long-term traces, and transdiciplinary interactions between members.

Organizing an e-event is easy - any researcher can:

  • propose a talk;
  • ask questions;
  • create local mini-events for interacting with the others;
  • look at the replay on video;
  • re-use the replay for courses.

e-Team for enlarging the CS-DC in Asia[edit | edit source]

Enlarging the CS-DC is easy - a CS-DC Institution is an institution whose head has signed the “sharing” commitment letter with the CS-DC. According to the UNESCO UniTwin rules, the CS-DC network can be integrated by:

  • institutions of higher education and research, nationally recognized;
  • NGOs working in higher education and research or another academic association (e.g. learning societies, scientific academies, etc);
  • inter-university networks, or another academic networks;
  • any institution aiming to cooperate with UNESCO in the field of higher education.
