Apparently, they installed new set of tables. Hinging available Tables = there won't be a need of 10 additional tables required
Possible laboratory for indoor activities for the Makers
  • Estimated Expenses:
    • Venue/Rent:
      • Node will be hosting; thus, no expenses will be required for renting a room for MakerFaire
    • City or County Fees and Permits:
      • The cite is located at the Baltimore County.
      • However, no permits or fees will need to be paid:
        • Fire alarms, electricity, and even tables are already constructed and nothing needs to be removed
    • Insurance:
      • Node has its insurance already covered. No extra bill will be needed.
    • Labor:
      • Recruit non-paid volunteers to set up and clean the site:
      • One set-up volunteer + One another for cleaning at the end per one Maker
        • Total of 8 to 10 volunteers recommended
        • 4~5 volunteers for set-up and 4~5 volunteers for Cleaning
        • It's possible for set-up volunteer to stay for entire duration of the MakerFaire to help out cleaning team
      • Set up time: 7:30 AM (Tables, projects, preparation, and pre-cooked meals)
      • Cleaning Time: 8:30 PM (Cleaning all the trashes and leftover foods)
    • Rental Equipment:
      • 10 Rectangular Tables (1 per each Maker): Already have newly installed set of tables
      • 20 chairs (2 per each table): Rented from HCC = $25 ($1.25 per each rental of a chair)
    • Expense Reimbursements:
      • Not required; All physical laborers and cleaners are non-paid volunteers
      • They are not required to bring any materials or tools
    • Advertisements & Promotions:
      • HCC arts or others interested in this field will design and create advertisement posters
      • Promotion for the MakerFaire: Young adult middle school and high school students around Node
      • Under each school's permission, there will be an advertising posters at selected sites
      • To host this event, MakerFaire ideas must be presented in one of the regular meeting dates (Thursday 7:30 ~9:30 pm) or in their discussion page
      • Website: http://baltimorenode.org/ : Newly hosting events will be posted in their main page
    • MakerFaire License Fee:
      • .50 cents per attendee
      • This MakerFaire will have ticketed/paid admissions
      • At its best case scenario:
        • 10 Makers + 20 Volunteers + 250 Attendees = $140
    • Wordpress Registration and Custom Design Fees ($47):
      • Not required; the location is locally advertised and there is a separate internet advertisement page for Node
    • MakerFaire Font - Benton Sans Bold ($40):
      • Not required; instead of using this, Microsoft Words will be used
    • MakerFaire Pennant Flags - 120' for approx. $14 each:
      • 10 Flags (1 per each Maker): $140
    • Other:
      • Foods: $ 315
        • 150 Hot dogs w/ buns + 10 Large bags of Chips + 100 Hamburgers (Buns + Ketchup + Mustard + Cheese + Meat)
  • Estimated Income:
    • Ticket Sales:
      • The received amounts will be donated to Node
      • Adults: $ 5.00
      • Students and Seniors: $3.00
    • Sponsorship:
      • Student Program Board (SPB) from Howard Community College
      • Glenwood Library Branch
      • UMBC (Possibly)
    • Grants:
      • Not required; the amount will be covered with fundraising and volunteers
    • Vendor Fees:
      • Each Maker will not sell but rather showcase their created works
    • Food Concessions:
      • The food will not be charged for it will already be paid through fundraining
    • Parking:

        • With an aid from SPB, the fundraising will be hosted in HCC for those who can donate (Cash only)
        • In the sponsored site (Glenwood Library and UMBC), there will be fundraising events at selected location as well
