LAMP does Web 2.0 the FLOSS way

LAMP is an acronym for Linux, Apache, MySQL and Python / Perl / PHP. Simply, the Linux server edition need more knowledge because it all under terminal Command Line Interface which means more stable.

But, people can also set up a server with common Desktop Distribution like Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora or OpenSuse.

In Synaptic or aptitude system in Debian and its deviants( Ubuntu for example) mark the packages with a certain task then it will automatic install the required software packages for users.
