International Relations/The Gulf War
The Gulf War was a conflict fought between a US-led Coalition and Iraq in the early 1990's. The main goal of the war was to liberate the country of Kuwait, which was invaded by Iraq. Although there were many reasons for the invasion, the primary cause was economic warfare. Although Iraq was able to successfully invade Kuwait, the coalition force was able to liberate the country and was able to capture a large portion of Iraq. The war lasted a little over six months, which resulted in over 30,000 deaths and costs of billions of dollars.
