Materials[edit | edit source]

  • grain or rubbing alcohol
  • olive oil may be used as a carrier oil
  • bottle for mister
  • fragrance oil or plant material

Common fragrances[edit | edit source]

  • lemon zest peel - fresh smell
  • orange zest peel -
  • cloves - fresh smell

Essential oils[edit | edit source]

  • sandalwood and its alternatives
  • musk: muskflower, muskwood, musk seeds
  • vanilla

Instructions[edit | edit source]

For fragrances made from scratch, put the material into grain alcohol to sit for a few days. The grain alcohol extracts the oils from the material. A dark bottle will keep light from breaking down the oils. Then separate the material from the liquid extract.

Mix the fragrance oils or extract to a small amount of olive oil or other oil carrier. Then mix with grain and or rubbing alcohol.

Put in a spray bottle. If a colored glass bottle with a sprayer can be found, this is suitable.
