Deutsch: Yara N-Sensor ALS (ALS = active light source, Xenon-Blitzlampen als aktive Lichtquelle für die Nachtarbeit) auf dem Kabinendach einen John-Deere-Traktors montiert; Präsentation bei den DLG-Feldtagen 2010, Gut Bockerode, Springe-Mittelrode, Niedersachsen, Deutschland. – Dieses Sensorsystem 1) erfasst die Pflanzenbestände etwa 5 bis 6 Meter links und rechts der Traktorfahrspur, zeichnet die Lichtreflexion der Pflanzen als Indikator ihrer aktuellen Stickstoff-Aufnahme auf, 2) „übersetzt“ die Messdaten (mit Hilfe einer Spezial-Software) in Düngeempfehlungen, die dann 3) von der Dünger-Ausbringmaschine zur Anpassung der tatsächlich erforderlichen Dünger-Menge verwendet werden.
English: Yara N-Sensor ALS (ALS = active light source, Xenon flash lamps for night work) mounted on the canopy of a John Deere tractor; presented at the DLG field days 2010, Gut Bockerode, Springe-Mittelrode, Lower Saxony, Germany. – This sensor system 1) scans the crops roughly 5 to 6 metres left and right of the tractor lane, records the light reflection of the plants as an indicator of their current nitrogen uptake, 2) translates the measured data (by using a special software) into fertilisation recommendations, which then 3) are used by the applicator to vary the actually needed amount of fertiliser spread.
