Summary[edit | edit source]
Description |
The transition in pipe occurs intermittently. With the increasing Reynolds number, the transitional structures evolves from a single equilibrium puff structure towards a space filling slug structures via splitting.During laminar-to-turbulent transition the friction factor jumps from the laminar state to the turbulent state. |
