I met these simple village girls at ' Vasu Bihar ' ( ruins of a 11th century Buddhist monastery, 13 km away from Bogra town ). It seemed that they were very close friends and having great fun in a world of playground of their own.. They didn't have Ipods, Fashion TV, fashion magazines, beauty parlours, 100 or more cable TV channels, DVD's, home cinema, mobile phones, home computers, laptops, Internet, chatroom,Flickr etc but they had their real friends close together. They were brimming with happiness that came from within. I didnot ask them to pose for my camera, but seeing my camera they spontaneously broke into a lovely laughter. Straight off the camera. |
