Short Description This culinary institute was designed to connect to the surrounding community, via the essential component of cooking, the garden. The vertical garden on the elevator acted to connect the entire building as it could be viewed from anywhere and the gardens behind the institute acted as a space of repose for the surrounding residential community. Connection was explored in at all scales from the buildings connection to the community to the connection of the cladding to the structure.
