English: This image shows lichen-encrusted basalt of the Bidahochi Formation at Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona, USA. The Bidahochi Formation was deposited in a large ephemeral lake basin covering much of northeastern Arizona from 4 to 8 million years ago.
