Week 1[edit | edit source]

This week the team was just organized. The members began get to know each other. We voted the "Sun Knight " as our team name. Also we designed the logo. We studied the project manual together and discussed the work breakdown structure and Gantt chart. We also drafted a list about the things we need to write in the wbs and fill the Gantt chart and arranged everyone’s timetable.Then Liu lei finished the wbs.

Week 2[edit | edit source]

This week we measured the solar panel. Using the data we got we calculated the average m value, and adapted the m value to find an "optimal" value which can have a good fit through most working points. Besides we plotted the power curve and found the point where the motor providesthe largest amount of power. Then we had a general discussion about the geometry shape of the frame of the SSV and the drive configuration. But we haven't make a decision yet.

We had a discussion about the racing strategy and we shared our own opinions on the structure of the car, the height of the collision part, the wheels we need and other details.

Week 4[edit | edit source]

A further discussion about the structure was made and we tried to imagine the basic part of the car. We had a lecture about the matlab and Yang Yuze and Liu Lei were responsible for the matlab calculation.

Week 5[edit | edit source]

According to the lecture of the racing strategy and the feedback, we calculated the gear ratio and mass of the car by hand. We designed the simulink for our car. After the calculation, we obtained the result.

Week 6[edit | edit source]

We edited the report of the analytical calculation and matlab. Also we wrote the process report.

Week 7[edit | edit source]

This week we confirmed the exact structure and all the dimensions we need. We talked about what we need to buy on internet because some parts cannot be bought in Leuven. We also make a plan of work distribution in FABLAB because we did not go there before.

Week 8[edit | edit source]

This week we changed our structure we decided last week because it is very difficult to machine metal parts we finished on 2D drawing. And then we did the Prototype-modeling plan in FABLAB. Yang Yuze and Liu Lei are response to the SSV part2 report.

Week 9[edit | edit source]

This week we assembled our SSV and found out that there are parts that cannot be well fixed together. We worked in FABLAB to make our parts and 3D printing. Yang Yuze and Liu Lei are response to the SSV part 2 report.

Week 10[edit | edit source]

This week we finish the collision test of our car, which lead to the damage of some weak parts. We work in FABLAB to make some replacement of these parts. We build the Sankey diagram and Yang Yuze and Liu Lei are response to the SSV part 2 report.

Last meeting report is about testing the car and writing the second report.We continued last week’s job,did some more testing and debugging on the track.
