DescriptionMajeur-kruisen.jpg
The major scale is a sequence of patterns that provide a distinct sound to the listeners ear. This scale is common in Western tonality and is very important in Classical tradition. The major scale is comprised of certain steps - being Whole-Whole-Half-Whole-Whole-Whole-Half. A whole step is comprised of two semi tones, and a half step is comprised of one semi tone. This formula can be applied on any starting note, and should have 8 notes ending on the same note.
