  • Right at begin when seeing the page title and reading the page I thought: "What about the comment possibility on Wikipedia's talk pages ?"     • Talk pages on Wikipedia are rarely intelligent. It is true they can contain expert "fights", but this gets lost in other stuff, and the nature of talk pages is scrappy. An "expert commentary", to my mind, is a formal piece of writing from an expert which is usually of a higher standard than a mere discussion. We also do discussions on WV, but there is no point in offering this to Wikipedians, as they already have their talk-and-fight pages. --McCormack 16:03, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

  • The question posed on this discussion, "What shall we do with Wikipedia?" reminds me of a similar question my manager, Pete Lopiparo, asked of me at Bell Labs some 30 years ago.
