Wikiversity talk:Maintenance
From Wikiversity
Welcome to the Wikiversity maintenance forum!
- Thank you for your interest in "chores", "grunt work", "custodianship" and other sometimes thankless tasks that help keep Wikiversity clean and tidy. This general discussion forum is open to everyone who wants to dive in and help! If you have an immediate need for custodian action, use Wikiversity:Request custodian action. Otherwise post ideas, suggestions, questions, comments, complaints, opinions, whatever right here! --CQ 20:16, 7 June 2007 (UTC) - Support staff
[edit] Weekly maintenance
I've set up a maintenance plan and log for general coordination of Wikiversity:Categories. I am pretty much maintaining the thing in a kind-of dynamic way using a "weekly" schema for planning each week's activities and logging the progress in a summarized way. Because categorization is such a fundemental aspect of the "neat and tidy" paradigm, I've decided to concentrate some effort there. Custodians Remi and JWSchmidt have provided remarkable leadership in the area of "mopping up" the messes that occur through the nature of wikis and I hope to use the "weekly schema" just to keep up with their efforts. I'm hoping we (all wikiversity participants regardless of "sysop" or "admin" status) can use this project/record area to further the cause of (for lack of a better term) "housekeeping" at Wikiversity proper. [edit] Expansion of page
I've expanding this page considerably today and repositioned it to function as a central hub for Wikiversity administration. --McCormack 09:40, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Maintenance Header
I've transfered all of the header text to Wikiversity:Maintenance/header, in my view it may clear a lot of text from the main maintenance page - does anyone agree to update the old layout format displayed on the current page to the one in the subpage which I've done above.
