Wikiversity talk:Announcements
From Wikiversity
What sort of "Wikimedia announcements" are going here? It makes no sense to me to duplicate every single little thing that happens on Meta to this page; stick to Wikiversity stuff, and important Wikimedia announcements. robchurch | talk 12:13, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- It seems to me conferences and Board elections are important. You can remove them if you disagree. Concerning other WM things, there's a link to meta goings-on on top of the page precisely to avoid duplicating things. guillom 12:28, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
I disagree that a Dutch Wikimedia conference is particularly relevant to the English Wikiversity. robchurch | talk 12:58, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- I've understood your point and you can see I've already removed these links. But your message wasn't very nice; my aim was to spread the news, not to "duplicate" anything. I couldn't have duplicated anything, by the way, since these news don't even appear in meta goings-on (which may makes you say they are really minor). Thanks for your help anyway. guillom 13:13, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- FWIW, Re: Dutch Wikimedia conference - Kennisnet (who are sponsoring that conference) are also very interested in working with/on Wikiversity, from what I can gather. (And no, don't put that on the announcements - yet ;-)) Cormaggio 13:19, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
