Wikiversity:Import

Shortcut: WV:I Mediawiki, the software that runs Wikiversity and its sister projects, has a feature that allows importing of pages from other wikis. When a page is imported that way, the edit history is preserved and the license observed. Currently, we can import pages from Wikipedia, Wikibooks, betawikiversity, Wikiquote and Wikisource.

You can list here what pages from the above available projects you would like to have imported to Wikiversity.

Please make requests only for pages you want to work on today, and they will be imported as soon as possible. Importing can take a few minutes for each page and there are only a few custodians working to try to import pages. Please also keep in mind that textbooks are not supposed to be imported from Wikibooks, but instead should be linked to as "source material". Most of the work related to migrating imported pages does not require that you be a custodian. If you would like to help, please read Help with the migration of Wikiversity pages from Wikibooks or message at Wikiversity:Request custodian action.

Completed requests for import older than one week are located in the archive.
