[edit] Welcome
Welcome to Wikiversity. --JWSchmidt 18:57, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. I doubt I'll be doing much, content-wise, but I thought it might be advisable to claim this username as mine here too, and to establish a presence as most developers tend to do. robchurch | talk 19:05, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] search function
Do you know any tricks for getting the search function to work? All we get is "There was a problem with the wiki search. This is probably temporary; try again in a few moments, or you can search the wiki through an external search service" --JWSchmidt 19:33, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- Immediate thoughts are that it's quite possible there's no search index for this project yet, never mind it being outdated. When this happens, it's quite likely that the extension which communicates with the Lucene search servers is programmed to respond with this error... robchurch | talk 19:42, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] units and measurement
I'm not really happy with that table; it breaks up the flow of the 'lesson'. I deliberately wrote out the information in prose so that it remained in a conversational style - as lectures should be. This isn't wikipedia. I actually don't know how to revert a page, but if you'd mind changing it back...Sojourner001 12:15, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks. Sorry to be a pain, but I like my articles 'just so' ^__^ Sojourner001 12:35, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Quizzes
Hi Rob, and thanks for your interest so far in Wikiversity. I think it'd be great if you developed the quiz functionality - I haven't looked at that page you linked from the Colloquium, but it sounds like a good idea to go with. Wikiversity will probably need plenty of code development - it would be nice if you could keep up with requests (or, at least, be a link to bounce ideas off). We may, at some point, have to compile an 'inventory of needs' to pass on to developers with puppy-dog eyes.. ;-) Cormaggio 12:18, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
