RSS [edit]
Thanks for your help with the RSS feed for Wikiversity Reports. In the Bloglines feed reader, the main heading for the feed links to www.wikiversity.org. Is there a way to change that to Wikiversity Reports? --JWSchmidt 01:15, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- No problem, I changed the title as you already know Chrismo 22:07, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

"get people to update their userpages and tell us what their learning goals are" <-- User:Teemu was in the IRC channel a few days ago saying the same thing. User:TheJF seems interested in developing the templates that can be used to indicate interests and skills. "Students must edit Wikiversity pages in order to express their learning goals and provide feedback on the learning process." <-- I wrote that on 8 November 2005 (see). --JWSchmidt 02:58, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Campus Radio : Apologies and Re-schedule [edit]
Hi Chris - I've re-scheduled our Campus Radio meet for this coming Sat. 26 th May as discussed.
Could you please let me know how all this works and what I'm going to need at my end to get in --Alexanderhayes 05:43, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
lost in the real world [edit]
"Hope you are well" -ditto
It was nice to bump into you in IRC, no matter how briefly. All is fine with me, I'm just busy in the real world. --JWSchmidt 00:22, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Networked learning [edit]
Hi Chris, From what I can tell at a quick glance, there might be duplicate content for networked learning and networked learning/Processes and tools? -- Jtneill - Talk - c 09:24, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Your changes to Networked learning [edit]
Please note that on 29th June, you cut out about 90% of a featured project. I take it the above explains this - ? And probably you did not realise the page was featured and regularly linked to from the main page? I agree that Leigh Blackall's contributions require some restructuring, but it might be better to coordinate these changes with a view to the wider picture and especially taking into account the featured project links. Please feel welcome to contact me in advance of restructuring this project. Thanks! --McCormack 10:49, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Tux paint + Screenrecording [edit]
Waaaaaaaaaaaay cool - thanks for this, Chris, both for the content and the demo of screencasting and .ogg. FYI - I've added the Tux vid here Portal:Pre-school Education (feel free to tweak). Is there a how-to you can reccomend for screencasting with gnulinux? I have edubuntu dual-booted but am still transitioning there from XP... And any chance you can help with virtualisation? ... :) -- Jtneill - Talk - c 12:05, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks James, you can find more info about those things you mentioned on this Screencasting how-to. Generally I just use recordmydesktop, istanbul or xvidcap. I also made a video of how I used to do it, I'll have to review that video, I think the setup used in the video might be too difficult for some people and there's other user friendly software that does the same job.
- On edubuntu you can use synaptic to install those programs or open a terminal and paste this this:
chris@gnuchris:~$ sudo apt-get install istanbul xvidcap recordmydesktop gtk-recordmydesktop oggconvert avidemux
- Check this out for running Windows inside Ubuntu and vice versa. Theres lots of howto's on the web, maybe knowing the names of those programs will help a little.Chrismo 13:16, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
