Copyright problems on photos

Hello. There is a problem with one or more files you have uploaded. Every file you upload must have a clear statement of the copyright position. If you took the photos yourself, add {{PD-self}} if you are placing it unreservedly in the public domain. If you wish to retain minimal rights, add {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}}. If you did not take the photo, please add an explanation of why it can be hosted here. I am afraid that if you do not do this, the file wil be deleted. Hi, Collingwood! I got all of the images from Microsoft Office clipart. I assumed they are already in the pulic domain? Let me know what I need to do.

Sorry -- I didn't realize that. Why do they let you download them on their site? Also, I misspoke. Not all the images were from MS office. Only the ones with the word "brain" in file name. The others I created from a You Tube video. I suppose it's too late now to bring those back???? Or could I re-upload them?

"The Microsoft Service Agreement for the Microsoft Clip Art Gallery online content states that you may not:

1. sell, license, or distribute copies of the media elements by themselves or as a product if the primary value of the product is the media elements; NOT DOING THAT.

2. grant your customers rights to further license or distribute the media elements; NOT DOING THAT.

3. license or distribute for commercial purposes media elements that include the representation of identifiable individuals, governments, logos, trademarks, or emblems or use these types of images in ways that could imply an endorsement or association with your product, entity or activity; or NOPE

4. create obscene works using the media elements. AAAH,,, NO! Number 3 might be confusing, but basically it says that if the media elements include other logos or trademarks you can't use those images in a way that creates an associating between the logo/trademark and what you are selling (it also may be trademark infringement).

So Bottom Line: it seems that the online Microsoft clip art content can be used for commercial uses, as long as you are not distributing the clip art itself." --174.253.4.157 21:48, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

I can restore deletions and have restored File:MMLAll.jpg. Can you please as soon as possible add an appropriate template as I mentioned above, preferably while you are logged in to prove it is you. Is the ClipArt copyrighted to Microsoft? If so, what is its intended use and is there no free equivalent available? Geoff (talk) 16:20, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
