From Wikiversity

Jump to: navigation, search

I have come to Wikiversity primarily as a student of the Urantia Book. As the UB teaches a great deal about the concept of teaching (a teacher of teachers is one of the most influential professions possible), I thought an expansion of the ideas therein would be of benefit to Wikiversity, as well as people generally interested in the UB. Having read the book, I can attest to the many "diamonds in the rough" that can be found in this text. For starters, the authors portray themselves as members of a vast celestial organization designed to successively teach mortals how to be as perfect as God. This conceptual thread of teaching is repeated hundreds of times throughout tens of thousands of paragraphs.

But ultimately, I am currently just a student of a one-time reading of the Urantia Book who desires to help other students get through their first reading. It's a hard book to read, and requires a special mind; the Urantia Book is not for the weak of heart (constitutionally, not physically).
