I am a 1984 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Business Administration (Management Information Systems). I currently live in Brooklyn, NY, USA where I am a SAS programmer and analyst for a major multinational energy company.

I have thirty years of SAS experience, focused on data access from a variety of sources and preparing it for analysis. I enjoy the productivity increases that SAS provides. It is unfortunate that more people, expecially in Information Technology, don't understand the benefits of SAS. Too often it is relegated to the analyst for statistics, a task for which it excels, however its use as a data access and productivity improvement tool is overlooked.

My nickname came from being a jack-of-all-trades (Master of none? I hope not!) when it came to using the univeristy mainframe, JCL, SAS programming and other languages like Fortran. Although, I still enjoy learning other languages, I feel that I think in terms of SAS.

I hope you enjoy watching the SAS Language resource as it develops.
